ZOIYA TOSTOWARYK On Friday, June 15, 2001, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Zoiya, age 93 years, passed away. She was predeceased by her husband Mathew (1975). Zoiya will be loving remembered and sadly missed by daughter Mary Szumlandski, daughter Elizabeth Gnapp; son William (Marcella), and daughter Carolyn Jean (Glenn) Stevens; 14 grandchildren, five stepgrandsons, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild and one great-great-grandson. She immigrated to Canada in 1929, met and married Mathew shortly after. Settled in Middlebro, MB, where they embraced the settlers way of life. They raised three of their children there and in 1947, they moved to Winnipeg, where their youngest daughter was born and they time in her garden, on rairesided until present day. Zoiya welcomed the arrival of spring each year, where she enjoyed spending ny days chatting on the telephone with family and friends. Many friends and family enjoyed her wonderful cooking skills. The family wish to thank all the people who looked in on her and gave her assistance through the years. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
